Books, books, books, books.....Guess! Books x.x

Weeeeeeeeeeeell....now i´ll write about something that all the people love...: Books!(Yaaay)
I love read, but one thing that i hate is....talk about the books. I think that the books it´s something personal, and a via to scape from the (excuse me madame) F*cking boring world and (excuse me again o.o) the f*cking boring internet.

To start i have to talk about one of the first books that i read, and it´s....(Drumrolls)

The Little Prince

Though ostensibly a children's book, The Little Prince makes several profound and idealistic observations about life and human nature. For example, Saint-Exupéry tells of a fox meeting the young prince during his travels on Earth. The story's essence is contained in the lines uttered by the fox to the little prince: On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. ("One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye." Other key thematic messages are articulated by the fox, such as: "You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed" and "It is the time you have devoted to your rose that makes your rose so important."

Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger, comte de Saint Exupéry was a French writer, poet and pioneering aviator. He became a laureate of several of France's highest literary awards and in 1940 also won the U.S. National Book Award. He is best remembered for his novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) and for his lyrical aviation writings, including Night Flight and Wind, Sand and Stars. He was a successful commercial pilot before World War II, working airmail routes in Europe, Africa and South America. At the outbreak of war he joined the Armée de l'Air (French Air Force), flying reconnaissance missions until France's armistice with Germany in 1940. After being demobilized from the French Air Force he voyaged to the United States to convince its government to quickly enter the war against Germany.

When i read this book, i can´t stop until i finish it. This is one of the best text that my eyes was eating in my 17 long ages. I recommend it to all the people of all the ages, to remeber to them that the child side of a person never dies.

Now, prepare your pants and don´t urinate please....

Hannibal Rising

Hannibal Rising is a novel written by Thomas Harris, published in 2006. It is a prequel to his three previous books featuring his character, the cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter. The novel was released with an initial printing of at least 1.5 million copiesand met with a mixed critical response. The novel was adapted  into a film of the same name in 2007, directed by Peter Webber.

Lecter is eight years old at the beginning of the novel (1941), living in Lecter Castle in Lithuania, when Operation Barbarossa, Hitler's invasion of the Soviet Union, turns the Baltic region into a part of the bloodiest front line of World War II. Lecter, his sister Mischa and his parents escape to the family's hunting lodge in the woods to elude the advancing German troops. After three years, the Nazis are finally driven out of the countries now occupied by the Soviet Union. During their retreat, however, a German Stuka destroys a Soviet tank that had stopped at the Lecter family's lodge looking for water. The explosion kills everyone but Lecter and Mischa. They survive in the cottage until six former Lithuanian militiamen, led by a Nazi collaborator named Vladis Grutas, storm and loot it. Finding no other food, they kill and cannibalize Mischa, while Lecter watches helplessly. He blacks out and is later found wandering and mute by a Soviet tank crew that takes him back to Lecter Castle, which is now a Soviet orphanage. Lecter is irreparably traumatized by the ordeal, and develops a savage obsession with avenging his sister's death.

Writer

Little is known about Harris's personal life as he avoids publicity and has not given an interview since 1976. At Baylor University he met and married a fellow student named Harriet. They had one daughter, Anne, before they divorced in the 1960s.  Fellow novelist Stephen King has remarked that if writing is sometimes tedious for other authors, to Harris it is like "writhing on the floor in agonies of frustration", because, for Harris, "the very act of writing is a kind of torment". Harris remains close to his mother, Polly, and reportedly calls her every night, no matter where he is, and often discusses particular scenes from his work with her. He currently lives in South Florida with his long-term partner Pace Barnes, a publishing editor, and has a summer home in Sag Harbor, New York.Harris' friend and literary agent Morton Janklow said of him: "He's one of the good guys. He is big, bearded and wonderfully jovial. If you met him, you would think he was a choirmaster. He loves cooking—he's done the Le Cordon Bleu exams—and it's great fun to sit with him in the kitchen while he prepares a meal and see that he's as happy as a clam. He has these old-fashioned manners, a courtliness you associate with the South."

When i read the book, as the other, i can´t stop my eyes. Before of read it i saw the film, and the best of it is that the film is identical as the text. You can enjoy how a trauma can turns in a reason to live, and a reason to kill.

Some awesome Films 0=

Well, well, to start i have to say this truth: the films aren´t my passion, but i have to talk something nice about 2 of them, or i´ll have a F in this work -.-". Lady´s and gentleman, take a look and enjoy (it`s an order)

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

This film was released on May, the 18th. It is the fourth part of the famous saga "Pirates of the Caribbean".

After a failed attempt to rescue his first mate, Joshamee Gibbs in London, Captain Jack Sparrow  is brought before King George II, who wants Jack to guide an expedition to the Fountain of Youth before the Spanish locate it. Heading the expedition is Jack's old nemesis, Captain Hector Barbossa, now a privateer in service to the Royal Navy after losing his leg and ship, the Black Pearl.
Jack escapes, but his father, Captain Teague, finds him and warns Jack about the Fountain's tests. He also reveals that someone is impersonating Jack. The impostor is Angelica, Jack's former lover and daughter of the ruthless pirate Blackbeard who practices voodoo magic and, armed with a magical sword, possesses supernatural powers.

Here starts the insane travel to find the two silver chalices of "Juan Ponce de León", the tear of siren and finally, the Fountain of Youth.

When i saw this film, my first thought was "This Stinks without David Jones" but the awesome of this is that it gives the root of the 5 part of the saga. In a scale from 1 to 10 i calificate this with a 7,62345.

Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny

Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny is a 2006 American comedy/rock musical set in the 1990s, starring Tenacious D, an American satirical rock duo that features Jack Black and Kyle Gass. The film was released on November 22, 2006. Although publicity for the film included the tagline "The Greatest Motion Picture of All Time", the film was a box-office bomb; since then, the film has garnered a cult following.

As a kid, Jack Black leaves his strictly religious family in Kickapoo, Missouri for Hollywood on a quest to form the world's most awesome rock band. After going through every other Hollywood in the United States, a fullgrown Jables meets acoustic guitarist Kyle Gass who is performing on the street, and begins worshipping him as a rock god because of his skills and attitude. While KG at first spurns JB, tossing his pick at him, he pretends to save him from a Clockwork Orange-esque gang that beat him up that night and takes him back to his "pad" (house), where he pretends to be famous with a self-named band "The Kyle Gass Project"

This film is one of my favourites: it have all that one man need to live, laughts and metal. The music of D is epic, if you don´t believe in my, check this.

Radiohead

My PC asked to me: Go and listen some good music? I say: OK Computer.
Here is one of the best bands you can listen in your short and poor life, I´m talking about Radiohead.
Thom .-.

They are one of the best Alternative Rock expositors. They start to play in 1985,especifically in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (guitars, keyboards, other instruments), Ed O'Brien (guitars, backing vocals), Colin Greenwood (bass) and Phil Selway (drums, percussion).

Their debut single was "Creep", a beautiful medley that explodes it fame in 1993, in their first album named "Pablo Honey". Here start the popularity of the band, and their change and innovation in their instruments.

Discography

  • Pablo Honey (1993)
  • The Bends (1995)
  • OK Computer (1997)
  • Kid A (2000)
  • Amnesiac (2001)
  • Hail to the Thief (2003)
  • In Rainbows (2007)
  • The King of Limbs (2011)

And now I´ll stop to talk about one of the best singers of our times.

Thom Yorke has a strange and unique voice. Thom has awesome skills to play piano and guitar. He released his solo album on 2006. An album called "The Eraser".

As a singer, Yorke is recognisable by his distinctive tenor voice, vibrato, frequent use of falsetto and ability to reach, and sustain notes over a wide vocal range. In 1994, the band watched Jeff Buckley in concert; Yorke later said the concert had a direct effect on his vocal delivery on "Fake Plastic Trees", however, Yorke has said, "It annoys me how pretty my voice is... how polite it can sound when perhaps what I'm singing is deeply acidic." He has often adopted other styles of singing, such as an aggressive shouting style in the middle section of "Paranoid Android" and a semi-spoken style for 2003's "Myxomatosis" and "A Wolf at the Door".

Atoms for Peace

On February 25th, 2010 Yorke revealed the name of his new band: "Atoms for Peace", and announced a series of U.S. tour dates. Yorke first introduced the band late in 2009, with a series of concerts in Los Angeles. It includes Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers on bass, Beck, R.E.M., all-round session drummer Joey Waronker, percussionist Mauro Refosco of the musical collective Forro in the Dark and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich on keyboards and treatments. When the band officially debuted in Los Angeles last October, it was billed with question marks due to it being unnamed. In a note on Radiohead's web site, Yorke wrote; "It has been decided that we call ourselves Atoms For Peace. hope you like the name. it seemed bleedin' obvious." Atoms for Peace is a track on Yorke's 2006 solo album, The Eraser, its title taken in turn by the Eisenhower speech of the same name.

I do like Radiohead, because their lyrics are full of content and real matters about life. They show to us some cassual things, these can hurt, be enjoyed, be an example or a mirror of our lives. Thom show to us in his lyrics how is the life to his eyes, a strange and a beautiful weird mess.
